Flea Market Finds

Well, the website is still down (Grrrrr...) so, I am not a happy camper.
My mom knows how anxious I get over this type of thing, so she suggested an improptu flea market outing. It was a beautiful day Sunday and we made it to just the tail end of the Lawrenceburg Antique market. Its a pretty large show, but we made the rounds in about 2 hours. Here's what I got: 3 pretty feedsacks,3 yards of vintage border print fabric,
Peach floral barkcloth drape panels (all 4 panels for 30.00!!!) ,
And my favorite, a children's counting book from 1942. Look at these adorable graphics!

Hope everyone else had a great weekend! :)

  1. That vintage border print fabric is absolutely the sweetest! And that book's illustrations are really great.

Be sure to show us the projects you sew up with all of the great fabric you've got in the past week! :)

  6. Hi Kim,

Just stopping by to say hello and to welcome you to the blog world (isn't it fun?). Love your fabric finds, and those bluebirds in the book—beautiful!

And thanks for your kind words about Stitch School. Embroidery only looks complicated—really, anyone can do it :)

Sometimes you get better deals at the end of a flea market.

  12. Hi Heather,
We just have a temporary fix for the website problems.
We are the latest victims of the Registerfly mess (scam). We may be joining the class action lawsuit against them, but not sure I want the hassle.
For the time being, the website is viewable under the web-address of www.nieszvintagefabric2.com .

    Sooo frustrating! :(
