Today was my husband's company day at the zoo. My mom went with us. We thought we were going to get rained out, but, it turned out to be a beautiful afternoon!
If you've never been to the Cincinnati Zoo, you MUST add it to your list of sites to see when you're in the area. We have always tried to visit different zoos when we travel, and have been to many of the top rated ones in the country, but the one in Cincinnati is by far our favorite.
It not only houses a wonderful variety of animals, reptiles, and birds but, it is also a Botanical Garden. An absolutely GORGEOUS place to walk around! Here are some pictures of the day...
Me and Mom.
Have a great weekend everyone!
I've been there! It during the height of the cicada invasion and you couldn't even walk through the parking lot without getting smacked in the head by a dozens of those noisy buggers. My girls were freaking out, but it was a fun visit anyway!
ReplyDeleteEeeewwww...I hate those little red-eyed critters!
ReplyDeleteYes, definitely not a good time to go.
That planter is amazing! Sounds like you had a fun time. It's nice when the weather cooperates LOL!

I love zoos. The last one I was in was in Georgia but it was too hot to enjoy. It looks like you had a good day. Good for you for taking your Mom!

ReplyDeleteHI!
ReplyDeleteAbsolut fantastic dont`t you think? I mean, to visit a zoo and just enjoy the surroundings, the animals and the lovely atmosphere they always create with flowers, plants and paths..fun to hear that i am not the only one that get exited and i don`t even have children! Hihi :)I am very interested in animals and environment protection, and i feel good about hearing that most of the zoo`s tries to breed an raise the animal population of endangered
species. What is your favourite animal? My favourites are, Big Cats, Blue-eared Kingfisher and chimpanzee :)
I wish you a lovey weekend and see you in a bit! Aina
I enjoyed your blog today. I love love love vintage linens, and you have a beautiful collection.

Yours is the second blog post I've seen today with a zoo visit. I think the last time we visited one was when we took our daughter to Chester Zoo in 1977. My word, doesn't time fly!
