Yes, it is now officially SPRING! (oops...or is it tomorrow? LOL) The foot of snow has melted, the week-long deluge of rain has passed, and the sun actually made an appearance. I ventured outside to get a well needed dose of vitamin D and snapped a couple of pictures of my
emerging plants. These are my
Hyacinths...
And I think this is a patch of Stella D'
Oro lilies...
Now, I realize that the Southern bloggers are probably laughing at the meager growth, but here, we'll take any signs of greenery we can get. LOL
Another sign of spring is the new lines of fabrics are hitting the shelves. Fabric.com has Amy Butler's new Midwest Modern line in already and I hope the other designers won't be too far behind.
When I saw how fantastic the colors blended with one of my
vintage 60's prints, I couldn't wait to get sewing! Here's a little
preview of a
wristlet style bag. Don't the colors just scream SPRING!
Now I just need the
temperatures to get a bit warmer and I will be a happy camper.
I hope you aren't too flooded up there, like along the Ohio is! I love those new AB fabrics! And spring comes tomorrow! xo, suzy
ReplyDeleteLOL Is it tomorrow?

ReplyDeleteWell, it's obviously warmer there than it is here in Ontario. We still have snow on the ground and I saw the first sign of bulbs peeping through the soil a couple of days ago.
