Inspired by our Dogwood tree that finally bloomed (after having planted it 8 years ago) , I whipped up a new bag. I really like it, so this one is all mine. LOL
One side is a combination of two beautiful fabrics from Anna Maria Horner and on the other I've done a "rough" applique of a dogwood branch.I'm also trying out my little rivot thingies. I've used them more as a decoration on this bag, but it will still give me an idea of how they'll hold up under daily use.
I like the look. :)Have a great weekend, everyone! And Happy sewing!
Excellent tote bag! Now, where does one obtain cool rivit thingies and those neato rings?
ReplyDeleteThanks Di!
ReplyDeleteI got mine from a local leather store.
Well it's just gorgeous. Love your dogwood brand and flowers and the rivets and rings make it look absolutely stylish and so professional!
ReplyDeleteVery nice bag. So original and classy. I love it!
ReplyDeleteLove the dogwood branch. Cute tote! Hope you have a great weekend.
ReplyDeletesoooo pretty!
ReplyDeleteI love the tree branches - beautifully done. No wonder you want to keep it for yourself. May I ask, what sort of interfacing do you use? Cherrie

Oh my goodness!! This is so pretty and elegant. I imagine that you will be getting many compliments on them!!
ReplyDeleteTotally amazing bag. You do awesome things with fabric.
ReplyDeleteLove your new bag!! Great work :)
ReplyDeleteHi missie! Love the new bag and I am interested to hear how the rivets work out. I've been contemplating those for some time, but I had a bad grommet experience so I've been hesitating about investing in rivets. AND, I'm really glad to hear that there is hope for my little dogwood tree that is 5 years old now and has never bloomed either! Maybe in 3 more years!! xo, suzy
ReplyDeleteAwesome Bag! I love the rivit's. ooxx`jodi
ReplyDeleteIt is lovely, artisitic and the linen makes it so simply classic. Darling bag KImberly.
ReplyDeleteWhat a beautiful, and beautifully made bag.
ReplyDeleteThanks so much, everyone!
ReplyDeleteHey Suzy, I've been using this bag everyday since I made it, and I'm loving the rivets.
Try using an awe to make the hole instead of a hole punch.
Kimberly :)
