Treasures From Grandma's Attic ~ Vintage Pharmacy

Here's another installment in our "Treasure's From Grandma's Attic" series.
My grandma saved absolutely EVERYTHING! This made for quite a job when it was time to clean out and sell her house, but, we did find some wonderful treasures. :-)

Today I'm showing just a small collection of vintage drug store items.
Toothpick anyone?

hmmm...not sure what ailment sodium grain capsules were used for?

Have a great week, everyone!

  3. I like those vintage pharmacy items, they are so interesting and wow, your grandma must have had them for a very long time! What will you do with them? I can see them in a shadow box with compartments.

  4. Literally from Grandma's attic .. wow! The Oral Sodium seemed creepy to me, so I Googled around and this is what I managed to glean: "Sodium Hexyl Ethyl Barbiturate, a Hypnotic with Phenacetin, an Analgesic" and "e deprresant" and "Sedatives and hypnotics causing adverse effects in therapeutic use." Yikes! A sleep aid, perhaps? Or muscle relaxant?

  6. What fun items to discover!
I have a thing for old toiletries, such as talcum powders, perfumes, and soaps. Would LOVE to have some that had belonged to my grandma!
