This is just a fun and quick little set I put together for one of my website customers. A small zippy change purse and matching sunglass/eyeglass case.
For this set I used a fun vintage fabric from the 1960-70's. A small 4" zipper in my stash was the perfect size for the coin pouch, and a fusible fleece scrap was all that was needed to provide the padding for the eyeglass case.

ReplyDeleteLove the eyeglass case!
ReplyDeleteLove your fabric combination for this sweet set! Very pretty and practical.
ReplyDeleteThose are neat! I have been meaning to sew a case for my pocket camera forever. These inspired me to get on with it.
ReplyDeleteOh how sweet. LOVE them. I'd like to start making eyeglass cases and make up bags and some other little sewing projects, but got to finish my sewing room first, almost there..lol
ReplyDeletea delightful set, lovely colours and style, so nice, well done.
ReplyDeleteOh the colors and retro vibe of these is to die for. I hate sewing zippers and can't imagine doing it on a piece that small great job.

I thought I recognized that fabric! I'm pretty sure my mom had a house coat made from it when I was a kid (in the '70's). Very cute! Love the bright colors.
ReplyDeleteYou make me want to get my sewing machine out again!! Love the fabrics you chose!
ReplyDeleteOkay....now I'm feelin old. That print was in my best friends bedroom on throw pillows on her bed!!! That was 1972 to be exact. I remember cause it was her 12th b'day. LOL.
ReplyDeleteStacy and Melody - Thank you! I love having an exact date to put with fabrics!
ReplyDeleteHow fun that you both remember it from 'back in the day'. :-)
I was very into daisies and strawberries during my 70's childhood, so I keep hoping I'll come across a print that I actually wore.

Good job! Your items always look so polished. =) Very nice!
ReplyDeleteI just love these little cases. I carry a small coin purse like this is my book bag and have for almost 25 years. It seems like the vintage fabrics are really durable.
ReplyDeleteI especially love the colors....remember, I AM a child of the 60's & 70's....lol.
Love the combination! You always have a great eye for fabric.
