I love the cute red and yellow cherry ruffle trim, above. And you can't go wrong adding Rick Rack and bakelite or glass buttons to your project.
Embroidered ribbons and trims are great for sewing or crafting (prefect for gift tags).
The exquisitely detailed victorian petticoat edging, black lace and silk shamrock embroidered trim is almost too pretty to use. But, I like having it around to admire. :)
Kimberly, I love embroidered trims and hand crocheted lace edgings. My Grandma, German through & through, used to use a lot of these types of trims on little jumpers she would make me when I was young. She was a fantastic seamstress and made most of my clothes for me. I miss some of the "vintage" styles on children nowadays.
ReplyDeleteWe're still fighting the crud here at my house but we are improving, slowly though! I hope you're feeling better, too!
those trims are fab! I especially love the velvet ribbons too! They don't make those beautiful soft colors and textures anymore do they?
ReplyDeleteI love the trims esp. those with the velvet and the detailing! The color palete is wonderful as well.
