Featured on Houzz

Do you know about Houzz?
Personally, I'm addicted to it. Its kind of like Pinterest for decorating, landscaping, and home design. Literally hundreds of thousands of gorgeous home pictures that you can browse randomly or by select rooms, then you can add your favorites to your Ideabook. You can also upload photos of your own home.
Anyway, I recently uploaded a few pictures of some of our renovations on the new house and was featured in one of the articles! The article is about using office furniture throughout the house. Our small guest room was shown as an example of using a file cabinet as an end table. You can view the slideshow above (if I've managed to upload it correctly).
And if you haven't been yet, you must head over to Houzz and check out all of the wonderful decorating inspiration. :-)

  1. Worthy of being featured. Houzz appeals to me more than Pinterest, and I don't do Pinterest. I've never heard of Houzz but thank you. As we decide on places to retire, building a home, etc...I love gathering ideas. Right now I want an organized closet!

  2. That is so neat that they featured you! Congrats! Houzz appeals to me more than Pinterest too. I love decorating, and I've kept a file of magazine pictures for years. Houzz would give me so much more to be inspired by.

  3. I've never heard of this site but will definitely check it out! Congrats on being featured. I think office furniture works fine in many places. I have a 2-drawer file in my bedroom, but actually made a cover for it. I don't think I've ever seen one with a drawer on top like that!

  5. Thank you for sharing about Houzz (I've never heard of it before) and congratulations on your home being featured on the site! Before and afters and the recreation of objects (big or small) is what makes me feel most inspired!!
    Happy New Year!

  6. Hmmm, I've noticed that if someone doesn't post for awhile, when they do, it doesn't come up on the dashboard. I'm not one to bother much with decorating inside my house. I never rearrange furniture! But I'll check it out.
