Oh, I've had the time, I just wasn't motivated. Its been a strange spring. First we had 70-80 degree temps at the beginning of April. The plants were happy...hostas poking through, cherry and crabapple trees blooming, bleeding hearts, wisteria, and lilac all just starting to open their buds. Then, the very next day, a cold snap. We're talking lows in the 20's for a week staight. :(
Hostas were mush, wisteria brown and limp. I was too depressed to even look at the bleeding heart. But this week I had to ready the patio for flower planting. During the clean-up I noticed the moss on the bricks. I mean REALLY noticed the moss. Its beautiful! I had to take its picture.
The picture above is the patio at the beginning of last summer. I love that chartreuse sweet potato vine. I hope I can find it again this year. I'll be sure to post pictures as soon as I decide on a color scheme for this years baskets.
Happy planting!

Moss is beautiful. I had a friend who did all her garden paths in moss. It was the most wonderful feeling to walk barefoot on her paths!
Yep, the cold snap we had a few weeks ago seems to have zapped the wisteria. I saw one bloom yesterday. My blueberries unfortunately were zapped as well. What can you do...can't cover everything up when it freezes!
I love the mantle headboard, another great project!

That's too bad about the cold snap. The moss is beautiful though.
I am going out to plant some flowers today.
Enjoy your day!

These pictures are lovely! I love the moss and your patio! I also love the wallpaper on your blog, Cath is one of my favorites! I have been lucky enough to visit both of her stores, the one in NY and the one in Santa Monica. Can't get enough of Cath! xo, Suzy
Great background! love the colors, they really work!
Yes, I have several floral backgrounds that I like.
If the other was a Kidson print, the free image site I got it from was probably stepping on some "copyright toes" to get it.
I'm very sensative to the copyright issue and would rather not take any chances.
Thank you!
I'm so glad I wandered into your blog. That looks like the perfect place for a glass of sweet tea.
You know it!
Love to sit back there with a cold drink and a gardening/decorating magazine. Its very peaceful.
I love all the moss...and the potato vine is one of my favorites!
