Where Did I Put My Keys?

I've been digging through some fun stuff in the basement this week. It seems Grandpa had an obsession with keys. LOL

I'm putting together a few lots to offer on Etsy. They're all old and have interesting shapes and lovely details. And would you look at the fantastic rust and verdigris patina on this grouping!

That's all natural, baby! :)

It also looks like there's a couple dozen skeleton keys, so I may put together a lot of a few of those.
Have a fun and safe weekend, everyone!

Summer Harvest

This has been a very good year for our garden. The spring flowers were large and fragrant, the roses and other flowers have been beautiful all summer long, the cherries did well for young trees, The tomato plants are over 6 feet tall, and now we have PEACHES!

Our little tree is loaded down with fruit. The deer have come by to snack occassionally, but so far, have been very polite and left the majority for us. :)
We had to tie up and support some of the branches.
And did I mention the tomatoes? Here's a summer salad of mixed veggies...marinated in just a touch of italian dressing. Yum!

What's in your garden?

My Cottage Bedroom Photos

After the last post on pretty pillowcases, I naturally thought bedroom pictures should follow.
So, here are a few shots of our little cottage bedroom.

The tiger maple decon's bench is from my grandma. Its small size is perfect for this house. Sadly, its missing its claw feet. It only had one when it was passed to my mother and she removed the other and it hasn't been seen since. It still provides stylish storage for the quilts and bedspreads.
This is an older picture of the dresser. If I took a picture of it now, you would see that my hubby has it covered in receipts, cell phones, chargers, pens, pocket knives, fishing schedules, watches, business cards, ...etc. (you get the idea) LOL

Oh, and that gorgeous antique baby portrait is my grandmother. Its tinted with robin's egg blue.

Thanks for touring the bedroom with me. I guess the only room left to see is the craft/sewing room. I'll try to get that straightened up for a photo shoot soon. :)

I have also been completely negligent for not mentioning it sooner, but I was thrilled to be awarded the Brillante Weblog Award by Maria of Lil Birdie Stitches and Jillian from Bella Rosa Antiques. Thank you, girls!

Although I'm sure these ladies have already received this award before, Here's a few of my favorite blogs...
