Monogrammed Linens

I LOVE vintage monogrammed linens! I just have to buy them.

They have a history; a very personal connection to their former owners.

I use less than perfect hankies or orphaned single napkins for projects, but wouldn't dare break up a set.

Monogrammed hankies make a wonderful bridal gift.
And for a wedding gift or house-warming prsent, you can't go wrong with a lovely set of pillowcases. This set is gorgeous and came with a matching bolster cover.
I have several sets of dinner napkins. The first is a set of 12 with a "K" on the corner and damask roses.

The next set features a bold centered "D" with damask mums.
This is my favorite. It is a set of 4 with an intricate triple monogram with tiny lily of the valley. Its set on the corner of a pure white damask with more lily of the valley and flowing ribbons. BEAUTIFUL!

Perhaps the oldest in my monogram collection is this set of redwork towels. I'm not sure of their exact purpose, but they are quite large.
I have an odd number of these and one has a stubbon mark that refuses to budge...hmmmm...I see a project in its future. :)

**I've had a couple of emails asking if these items would be listed for sale. I hope to have at least some of them on the website this week. Inspecting and photographing linens is a daunting task for me, but I am trying to be better at getting them listed. LOL :)

Hi Kimberly,
I just love vintage anything with a monogram! Just love wondering who did the monogram belong to. One of my favorite collectibles is vintage silver/silverplate, especially if it has a monogram!

Love all the linen but the redwork is beautiful.
Not seen these before and if I had I would have bought them!
I have had a number of hankies for a long time and am planning on doing a quilt/throw with them....one day.

Gorgeous! I too love monogrammed linens. I don't care if they are my initials or not! Someone loved them before me. That's what makes them great!

Mmmm! Thats what I was saying as each photo came up!
I have a monogrammed coverlet which supposedly belonged to Queen Elizabeth I ...nothing to document it but it came from a housekeeper who it had been given to after having a little hole in it (now repaired).

Any with an "R"?

Those linens are really so beautiful. The triple monograms is stunning. I love anything with letters or words on it, so these are right up my alley.

These linens are lovely! The pieces with the ornate red monogram are my favorite. Something about the bold red against the white. Enjoy your evening!

Hi everyone!
Yes Heather, There are a few "K"s in there. I can never find "N"s for my last name, so K is the next best thing. :)

Shabbyinthecity, Wow! Queen Elizabeth? How cool is that.

Sorry Lizzie, I don't think I have a single "R" in the bunch.

And If anyone has a secret for photographing damask, please share it with me. These are giving me a fit. grrrrr

What a beautiful collection of monogrammed linens. I especially love the hankies. Amy from One Blue Egg sent me the most beautiful "M" handkerchief that I framed. I love it!

Red monograms, oh...So lovely :)I am so jaleous right now :)I found a couple of beautiful monogrammed kitchenware before i left The Netherlands. I will show it later, so happy about it! In Netherland it is quite hard to find something as beautiful as that.

You are so right, monograms are the best. They are so pretty. Love the ones with the red stitching, and the one with the intricate monogram...I think you said it was a triple embroidery. So pretty.
