Random PINK Post ~ Barkcloth

October is Breast Cancer Awareness month...Pink October. So throughout the month I'll be showing random pink posts of fabrics or other pretties. I am determined to schedule an appointment for my first mammogram (a few years late) before the end of the month. I have a way of putting these important things off. So, I'm hoping that seeing more pink will move me a little closer to the phone. LOL

Oooooh.... I love vintage barkcloth! I had some nice pieces and some old drapes. I never used them for anything so I sold them on ebay. I knew someone else would use them rather than having them hidden in a drawer. The pink is so pretty.

Don't put it off, early detection is our best friend! It's peace of mind to have them over and done with.

Hi Kimberly,

I went for my first mammogram two weeks ago and it really wasn't that bad. It was more uncomfortable rather than painful and the technician was very efficient and it was over quickly!

I was surprised when my doctor recommended that I went for one as I thought that they didn't send women under 50, but she advised that there should be a baseline mammogram at 40 (and I passed that milestone a while ago!)

I love your pink fabric and thanks for reminding us of the importance of taking care of our health!
