Vintage Chenille Patterns
This week's Daily Swatch theme over on the True Up blog is Vintage Chenille. It prompted me to pull out my stash of pretty chenille pieces.
I love the patterns of the old bedspreads, and have purchased and used several on my bed over the years. I've also bought some that were cutters to use for projects.
So beutiful. Unfortunately we don't seem to get any here but I have found some lovely old dressing gowns that can be used in the same way. Thanks for sharing your eye candy. Cherrie
I remember having a Chenille bedspread in my room when I was a young girl. It belonged to my great-grandma and I LOVED it. I loved how it felt and how pretty the colors were. When it were thin I about cried when mom told me we had to replace it. It was starting to look holey. I didn't know then how much I would love vintage things and fabrics. hugs
We could not go to OVAM together...we'd head for the same things..LOL Altho, the price of some chenille we could go halves ;) Don't forget to stop over this week Im having a blog giveaway. Just leave a comment to enter!
The blue and white prints in the top block are really nice. I have several cutters too, but they are all in pinks. I would love to find some more masculine colors for a change. I guess the hunt continues. yeah!
Beautiful!! I love vintage chenille. You would think that I would find more of it since I live in Georgia and not too awful far from Chenille Row, which is what Cartersville, Georgia was referred to. I wish I could get my hands on some of those beautiful old chenille bedspreads!
