Where Did I Put My Keys?

I've been digging through some fun stuff in the basement this week. It seems Grandpa had an obsession with keys. LOL

I'm putting together a few lots to offer on Etsy. They're all old and have interesting shapes and lovely details. And would you look at the fantastic rust and verdigris patina on this grouping!

That's all natural, baby! :)

It also looks like there's a couple dozen skeleton keys, so I may put together a lot of a few of those.
Have a fun and safe weekend, everyone!

Old keys are so wonderful and make one wonder what exactly they opened. When I was small, the very term "skeleton key" evoked a frisson of fear that was simultaneously magical and scary. I was positive it had something to do with real skeletons.

I just love skeleton keys...my grandmother's house had glass door knobs (my absolute favorite) and skeleton keys.

Ive often thought about collecting old keys! My grandma's attic has some I remember seeing in my childhood! The house is up for sale so I better get over there before it's too late!

Thanks for the ikea idea. The nearest one to me is about 2.5 hours, but it's fun to go.

The coolest thing happened! I am in the process of ordering a sofa group from The Taylor Scott Collection ! I just kept praying about it and I got the coolest phone call from the owner Jeff. I am still in shock!

Is your Four Seasons furniture as great as everyone kept telling me they are?

I love old keys. I have a little key shaped rack that I have some old keys on and am on the lookout everytime I visit an antique store or yard sale. Hang on to those little treasures.

Doesn't it make you wonder what those keys were used for?

One of them looks like a clock key ~ I use something similar to wind my chiming clock.
