ME! (well, my bedroom, anyways) I know, I can't believe it. Go and see it here and then come back. :)
Beth just emailed me last night and I had no idea the post would go up so soon. They've been doing a series on bedrooms and they have included my little Mantel Headboard pictures and step by step instructions from the Easy Weekend Project post.
AT tends to lean more towards the modern/contempory side of decorating, so I'm hoping that the comments won't be too critical of my vintage style bedroom. Oh, if only I had more notice, I would have recovered it in the bold Aqua 1960's geometric fabric I've been dying to use. :)

Congratulations! Great feature and I just LOVE the mantle headboard idea. My room is having an identity crisis...just painted the room Vermont Cream and have a white quilt. Furniture is antique oak...no headboard. I was thinking a barn door, or old doors but love the mantle idea. New quilt will be made this year to add the very necessary color.
Oh My Gosh! That is great Kimberly!
Why would't it be a mod accent. Very architectural. Adds a layer of texture to the space.
Good Job!!
WOW! Yours looks so much better than the DIY example they gave. Bravo!

congrats! what a stunning room! And great idea! I have used three beautiful old doors as my headboard (no fabric) and love reusing vintage architectural details in new ways!
