Latest Vintage Fabric Finds from Indiana
Mom and I took a little trip to Indiana this past weekend. We stayed at the lodge in Brown County State Park and ate lots of good food and did a tasting at the local winery. We also shopped the nearby antique malls and I managed to find some pretty fabrics!
In the pink floral category we have a trio of valance panels with pretty bouquets in pinks and aqua, a light weigh cotton lawn with salmon-y pink rugosa roses (or maybe cherry blossoms?), and 3 yards of a small scale print of tiny roses and gray daisies.
I also found a few red fabrics. A cute kitchen print, a nautical themed novelty print, and several yards of a diamond geometric in red white and blue.
And last, I found a fun set of napkins with a Scandinavian type design. I have no idea what I'll do with them, but they were just so bright and cheery I had to bring them home. :)
I'll be getting some of the fabrics on the website today (the ones I can part with, anyway).
Its waaayyy too hot here in Ohio this week to do any work outside, so I think I'll probably start on a slipcover project I've been putting off.
Stay cool, everyone and have a great week!

More Fun 70's Fabrics
After bringing home the cute 70's fabrics a few weeks ago, I couldn't stop thinking of the stacks I had left behind. So, I went back and got some more!
Most are novelty children's prints and so fun!
The red is a heavy weight canvas with calico print toadstools and turtles and the other has jade green and yellow ladybugs and butterflies and is a lovely rayon or rayon/cotton blend by J.Manes co.
And then we have some bright neon pink.
The tulip and daisy fabric is a semi-sheer dimity? And my favorite of the bunch...Fairy Tale barkcloth!
It is a light weight cotton barkcloth by THC Hawaiian Textiles. It has the cutest scenes of every fairytale and nursery rhyme I've ever heard of, plus some. Look at that adorable Alice in Wonderland square above!...and the GingerBread Man! Too cute. :)
Look for these and other great vintage fabrics on the website.
I'm tackling a painting project in the basement, today, so hopefully I'll have some before and after pics soon. Have a great week, everyone!

That 70's Fabric
I recently purchased some amazing fabrics from the 1970's. Gorgeous brightly colored Flower Power designs:
...this pretty neon pink cotton sateen is my favorite:
These cute polka dot strawberry and turtle prints were in the bunch, too.
They sold out the minute I listed them, so they are already on their way to a new home. But there is also this little turtle daisy print, (turtles must have been popular in the 70's) :)
And this cute strawberry ladybug fabric. I think this one is just a bit older, maybe 60's. It has a 36" selvage width and has the prettiest color combo of red, pink and aqua.
Most of these are listed on the website or will be soon. Be sure to check out all of our latest finds in the "Newly Listed Items" section!
Have a great week, everyone!

A Fold Over Clutch in 70's Brights
I was in the sewing room last week working on a custom order clutch. She loved the fold over design, but wanted something in bold bright colors. After looking at some fabric options, she chose a fun lime green daisy print from the 1970's.
We paired it with a teal corduroy and a green print for the lining.
I think it fits the bill for "Bright and Bold" and will be a fun bag for spring and summer.

Happy Vintage 60's Fabrics
I believe that it is physically impossible NOT to smile when you look at these fabrics. :-)They are just Happy Fun prints! They all date to the 1960's -70's and sport cute daisies and flowers of all kinds.
Bright pinks and greens seem to dominate, but a pretty aqua blue makes a showing, as well.
I hope they brightened your day as much as they did mine. :-)
